Tip Toe Through the Tulips (or you'll get a fine)

Last Saturday Jim and I went to Tulip Time in Pella. The forecast called for chilly winds, cloudy skies and unfavorable temperatures for garage sales (which we shopped and sold all morning) and other outside type summer things, like Tulip Time.

Well, as my friend Kayle says, "The weather man is not God" and the weather was perfect for such things as garage sales and Tulip Times...hopefully for the one in Holland, MI as well, which was on the same day as our Pella, IA one. (Hi Mom!)

Even though our spring has been a cold one, we did see, contrary to many expectations, LOTS of beautiful blooming tulips. By the way, did you know that if you pick a tulip during Tulip Time you could get a fine!?
