Today in Chapel (I join the students occasionally for their daily chapel time), Dr. Dougherty talked about Christian living as it relates to worship of a holy, righteous God; an all-consuming fire. He made the above statement, which I thought was well-said, simple and yet very profound.

I think it is great that you go to chapel when you can...great "pick me up" for the rest of your day :-D.
It is that very thing! :) I enjoy it when I can go! I feel bad now that I didn't appreciate it more back in college! :) I guess that's when you see the things that were really important in your life...when they're not there anymore! I'm so thankful God allowed us to come back to IA and that Jim is working on campus. It's opened lots of doors!
Paul always said that on one hand, Faith helped him to grow spiritually because he was surrounded by other Christians and constantly in God's Word, but on the other hand it almost made the Bible feel like another textbook. It took him a while to get over that feeling after he left. Its hard to appreciate what you have until after its gone! :-D
