Rand♥m D♥zen: Huggermugger Defined

♥ Candy corn: Your thoughts?

A used-to-be Favorite...now, they stick in my teeth and make them *ouch* hurt. :(

♥ Briefly, what was the first conversation you ever had with your spouse? (or best friend, if you're not married.) (Or someone significant, like your librarian.)

See THIS post. :)

♥ Could you ever become a vegetarian?

Ummm, no. I'm a carnivore...*crunch*

♥ Have you ever dressed up your pet in a costume?

Not unless draping a blanket over the dog so he runs into walls counts.

♥ Name something about childhood that you miss (like Clark Bars, Teaberry Gum, Malibu Barbie, cracking fake eggs on people's heads with your fist and "It's the Great Pumpkin" airing only once a year).

Riding my bike, EVERY DAY. Just for fun and not excercise.

♥ Have you ever won a trophy? If not, what do you deserve a trophy for?

I've won "participation" trophies, but I don't think that counts, cause participation is easy. Hmmm, can't think of anything off the top of my head, so I guess I get to make something up! Yeeee!

I think I would earn a trophy for "time spent trying to remember what I was going to do and forgetting altogether what I was going to do, so I never get it done, until I realize later what I was going to do and by then, it's too late."

♥ When do you think is the appropriate time to begin playing Christmas music each year?

I know I'm going to have a lot of "balkers" at this answer, but I'm not HUGE on Christmas music, and I think it's particularly ANNOYING when they start playing Christmas music in Department Stores BEFORE Thanksgiving. That's not to say that I personally like to play Christmas music after Thanksgiving, either. It's just what I can tolerate in public. Although, now that I think of it, it's been a growing-up tradition to put the tree up the day after Thanksgiving, so I guess, if the tree goes up, the music can play. But, I betcha my hubby will be the one to turn it on. And in case you were wondering, I do have a Favorite Christmas Hymn "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel."

♥ What's your favorite board game?

Huggermugger...hands down. Love it.

huggermugger

" A cross between Trivial Pursuit and Word Games. 'Mystery Word' is revealed as players solve other word puzzles often in the form of a trivia question. Different categories require different types of questions answered. A good derivation."

♥ How do you feel about surprises (receiving, not giving)?

Surprises are my favorites! I do love a good surprise any day!

♥ Is it easy for you to say, "I'm sorry?"

Let's just say that I'm a little over-apologetic. Most of my friends know this...I was once called the "Queen of Sorry" (not the game, although my husband might attest to THAT one). But, on a serious note, it's not hard to apologize. If I'm wrong about something, someone deserves to hear my admittance and apology. To me, it's only right. Saying "I'm Sorry" and asking for forgiveness is a huge part of growing in holiness...and humility.

♥ What is your favorite candle scent?

Honestly, I don't think I have one, really. It's been awhile since I've lit scented candles for the scent. But, for the Bath & Bodyworks plug-in scenty thingy, I'm all about the 'clean linen' type scents.

♥ October is traditionally "open house" time in public schools. If you had a literal open house in your home (like a reception) what light snacks would you serve visitors and what would you show them (as in art projects, graded papers) that would uniquely represent you?

Well, I have a 4 month old, so it would be much like a 'baby shower' in theme and snacks.

Now, If I was the student, I'd do a German theme with Germany desserts/snacks and a 'trip to Germany' presentation, etc. I mean, we pretty much do that every weekend we're out for meetings, but hey...that would represent us! :)

And of course...what kind of post would this be if I didn't include a picture???

Oh you ARE so cute! I laughed out loud several times:

*Draping the blanket over the dog...howling on this one!

*Riding a bike for FUN?! How could I forget how FUN that USED to be!?

*The trophy...OH the trophy! I'd be a serious contender for that one.

*Christmas music: I couldn't DISagree more...but can we still be friends? ;-)

*Huggermugger...gonna have to try that one.

*And finally, the picture at the end...WOW! How cute is THAT?

Do you have Huggermugger? If you do, Peter and I need to come play with you! I've only played it once before at Pastor Thompson's house, but I remember absolutely LOVING it! So much fun. :)

I'm a Christmas music fan, too. I sing it all year long. My kids think I'm nuts. Love Christmas songs sang by Nat King Cole. That CD stays in my car. =)

Your daughter is so precious! Look at that beautiful smile.

You make me smile so much!

I burst out laughing about the dog. I think my husband thought something was wrong with me.

So glad to see someone else like the "clean" scents. I was starting to feel like quite the loner.

Okay, I've never even HEARD of Huggermugger! It sounds like fun, though :)
And if you can get a trophy for "time spent.....," I think I should be the first runner-up! Have you also found that it's gotten worse since having a baby?
And I TOTALLY agree with you about the Christmas music! I love Christmas music, but it seems to take away the "specialness" of it when they start playing it before Thanksgiving! We would always do the same thing ~ The tree goes up the day after Thanksgiving & comes down on New Year's Day :)

Adorable picture!

I laughed at the blanket story...we have a dog and they are good sports : )

I must try Huggermugger...I love games, especially word games but my family probably will not be thanking you...it seems I'm a little intense when it comes to games : )

I never heard of Huggermugger, but it sounds great - I love word games.

Your post about meeting your hubby was too funny!

And your picture at the end of the post of your daughter? Totally adorable.

Sarah, I had NOT seen your post, so I'm glad you stopped by. Hands down, the best answer is . . . the photo of your sweetie!

But yes, riding the bike for hours and hours...I miss that.

I heard a promo of the new Bob Dylan Christmas album the other day. It was . . . embarrassingly awful. My kids burst out laughing. What is sad is that lots of people will buy it and worse, they'll be playing it in PUBLIC! Ick!

I also love NEW things, especially the NEW WINESKINS Jesus mentions... I'm German and I pray you'll soon be able to go to my country ... if you ever have questions concerning German culture, pls ask.
Cheers, Sibylle
